9mm Double Cap Rivets are designed to reinforce stress points and add a clean, professional finish to handbags and straps. The smooth rounded caps on both sides create a polished look inside and out, making them ideal for visible strap attachments and decorative accents.
Looking for a larger cap? We also carry 12mm x 9mm Double Cap Rivets. Both sizes have the same 9mm post length; only the cap diameter differs. The 9mm cap provides a smaller, more subtle look, while the 12mm cap creates a larger, more prominent accent.
The bag pictured uses both sizes, alternating 12mm and 9mm rivets from top to bottom.

Rivet Installation Tools:
Punching the Hole:
To create a hole in fabric, vinyl, or cork, you can use:
- 3mm Hole Punch Die (requires a press)
- Leather Hole Punch (most frequently used)
- Japanese Hole Punch
Installing Rivets:
- By Hand: Requires a Rivet Setter tool and a hammer.
- With a Press: Use a Rivet Press and a 9mm Die.
Rainbow finishes have slight variations, making each piece unique. Antique Brass may vary between hardware pieces due to the hand-applied plating process.
