Compact Clutch Wallet Hardware & Supplies
The Compact Clutch Wallet is designed for non-fraying fabrics for both the exterior and lining. For the exterior, we recommend vinyl, faux leather, or faux suede. For the lining, ripstop works best because it reduces bulk and is easier to sew. Waterproof or water-resistant canvas can also be used for the lining, but it will add some bulk. Non-directional fabrics are best for the exterior since the wallet folds.
Fabric yardage may vary depending on directional prints, fabric width, use of multiple exterior fabrics, pattern alterations, and cutting layout.

Exterior Fabric
The total exterior fabric needed depends on your chosen design option and whether you include the credit card security strap.
- Without security strap: one piece measuring at least 8″ × 10″ (20.3 cm × 25.4 cm)
- With security strap: one piece measuring approximately 10″ × 16″ (25.4 cm × 40.6 cm)
Lining Fabric
12″ × 45″ (30.5 cm × 114.3 cm), which is about 3/4 of a roll of ripstop or waterproof/water-resistant canvas when using a standard roll measuring 18″ × 58″ (45.7 cm × 147.3 cm).

7 3/8” x 9 7/8” (18.7 cm x 25.1 cm) piece of Decovil Heavy
Clear Vinyl (optional)
If you’d like to add two clear credit card slots, cut one 7 3/8″ × 2 1/2″ (18.7 cm × 6.3 cm) piece of clear vinyl.
