Iris Shoulder Bag Hardware & Supplies
This bag works best with faux leather, suede, or vinyl as non-fraying fabric is required for the gusset and zipper overlays. Quilting cotton with proper interfacing, waterproof canvas, or water-resistant canvas or fabric can be used for the lining. Use foam stabilizer for the quilted front panel and Decovil Light for all other stabilizer pieces.
Fabric yardage is an estimate and may vary based on directional prints, fabric width, multiple exterior fabrics, pattern alterations, and cutting layout.
Woven interfacing is recommended for quilting cotton or for vinyl, faux leather, and faux suede with one-way stretch.
Exterior Fabric
- ¾ Yard (70 cm) – Approx. based on 44/45” (112/114 cm) wide fabric
- Or 1 Roll Vinyl (18” x 53/54”) – If using two fabrics for the exterior, add 1 additional roll
Lining Fabric
- ¾ Yard (70 cm) – Approx. based on 44/45” (112/114 cm) wide fabric
Interfacing
- ¾ – 1 ½ yards (100–150 cm) – Approx. Lightweight woven fusible interfacing
- Recommended: Sew Woven or Pellon ShapeFlex SF101
- Yardage may vary based on fabric choice and cutting layout
